week one done (almost)

all that is left of my first week here at fh is a meeting at three with my two bosses, so i figured now would be a good time to jot down a few thoughts

today we had our first "brown bag lunch" (apparently this is happening twice a week, instead of just once, which is cool), but it was interesting to get to meet some more people from fh and hear about different aspects of fh

i've been really impressed with all the different ways fh approaches the fight to end poverty, it seems like they are working on about 10 different fronts at once all the while carrying these out all over the globe

people have been asking me, "so what do you do?", and while i'm supposedly finding out more details at this aforementioned meeting at three, so far i've been updating this grant database that a previous intern had made

anyway, before this gets too long, just want to shout out to the other interns landing in various countries across the globe, godspeed and fight the fight

grace and peace,
steve

day one (except really day 3)

so today was the first real day of my internship at this place we refer to as "fh", it was also a day where a bunch of people i just met two days ago are now flying across every ocean on the planet (well almost, sorry arctic) to serve God

i must say that is quite exciting, i can't say that i really got to know everyone very well, but i love that we share the same heart and vision for the world and the lost and the least

i'm excited to see what God does this summer

grace and peace,
